South East Homebuilding & Renovating Show – It Just Keeps Getting Better

South East Homebuilding & Renovating Show, 18 – 19 January 2020, Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre

This weekend saw us take our annual visit to The Homebuilding & Renovating Show at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. We were amongst 9,000 visitors who flocked to browse the vast array of products on display. These included beautiful tiles and wooden flooring, alongside stunning oak frame structures and some of the best doors and windows on the market. For any aspiring self builders it was inspiration overload!

Our day was jam-packed, as we had a choice of over 200 exhibitors to visit across the venue. This event is definitely getting bigger and more impressive each year.

We saw visitors take advantage of their free 15 minute consultation at The Advice Centre, where they got valuable advice from architects, builders, planners and the very popular experts from the Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine.

The two show theatres seminar and masterclass were jammed packed both days. Experts like Micheal Holmes and Sally Tagg were sharing their wisdom on topics like how to get kitchen design right and the mindfield of planning permission. Having attended such seminars and masterclasses, I can say first hand how invaluable they can be in getting that all important advice and expert knowledge from those in the know.

We also had a chance to ask questions about our specific upcoming project, from those working in the trade.

The first visitors through the door on Saturday got a welcome surprise when they purchased a hot drink and got a complimentary breakfast roll – always nice to get an added extra.

2020 sees The Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine celebrate it’s 30 year Anniversary and the venue very kindly presented Event Director Nick Noble with a stunning and by all accounts yummy cake!
